Xonxt is eventually broken out of containment by an Alien Grunt, Xen forces have overridden Black Mesa and are attacking both the HECU and the Special Forces. Whilst in containment, Xonxt encounters Justin Barnes (from Azure Sheep) who mocks him before leaving. Xonxt discovers that the XTBS has been taken to Earth so he follows, only to get captured in the Black Mesa mines by G-Man and his forces. Xonxt battles his way through the humans' base stationed on Xen, killing numerous attacking scientists, HEV guards and other enemies along the way. Xonxt eventually makes it his mission to retrieve the XTBS (Xen Techno Biologic Sphere) which was stolen by the humans during their invasion of Xen. During his errand, he witnesses the humans invading the area and killing various Xenizens. Xonxt is first seen operating in the Xen factories and working on the XTBUs (Xen Techno Biologic Units). However with Xonxt becoming treacherous as he no longer serves Nihilianth, he turns against his fellow comrades in order to fulfil his mission. Xonxt appears to have great respect and possesses loyalty towards his master, the Nihilanth. Xonxt is an intelligent Vortigaunt and the main protagonist of Half-Life: Point of View, he is part of a unique sub-species of Vortigaunt that are more intelligent than their 'inferior' counterparts.
